How do I handle communication if I can’t physically see and meet with my accountant?

Different clients have different levels of need for access and ”face time”.  Most clients hold a set monthly conference call with their accountant/accounting team.  Outside of this meeting, email and phone communication is key and checked daily.  Web-ex and even video conferencing is also employed.  Local clients often have personal meetings and may even have their accountant come in once a week or once a month for “face time”.  National clients sometimes host annual meetings to build camaraderie and for training.
